Dear BlueJ Users,

We have just released BlueJ version 2.1.3.

This version does not provide any significant new features, but fixes
a number of smallish but annoying bugs that have come up since the
last release. These include

  - Using the shared memory model for VM communication on
Windows is fixed again. (This used to work in earlier versions,
but was broken in recent ones.) This should help windows
    users with over-zealous firewalls.

  - Terminal encoding has (yet again) been changed. It now uses
the system encoding by default, but the encoding can be
changed in the BlueJ settings. This should allow better
handling of non-ASCII characters in the terminal.

  - The GUI should now be more responsive when the user
program is in an infinite loop. so that programs can be
    more easily interrupted.

There are some more - for more detail see

    http://www.bluej.org/help/changes.html

You can download the new version, as always, from

Regards,

The BlueJ Team
