Thank you Poul. I have heard from the student and using the crossplatform look and feel has solved the problem.

Hi Marion,

We have had similar errors reported before. It seems that some systems 
have problems with the Windows look and feel. As you already guessed, it 
will almost certainly be resolved if you change the look & feel to 
crossplatform.
