Yes, most definitely!

NetBeans / BlueJ edition does NOT replace BlueJ. (for example, it  
does not have a class diagram, it does not have an object bench, and  
many other reasons.)

The NetBeans / BlueJ IDE is designed to be _after_ BlueJ (not  
instead) when you want to start getting into a full, professional IDE.

BlueJ will continue stronger than ever.
