It is our aim to also support Subversion in the future, however it
will not be in the initial release.

We have attempted to design the implementation so that we could
support subversion as well at a later date as seamlessly as possible.

Subversion is certainly becoming more popular as time goes on, and
fixes a number of CVS limitations. Our initial target however was CVS
due to its widespread usage and availability. Subversion fixes some
technical issues but raises some licensing, configuration and
distribution issues that need to be addressed to keep Bluej
installation, configuration and usage as easy as possible for users.

I cannot give a time frame for this at the moment though on when
Subversion support will be added. Whilst we have tried to make the
addition of Subversion support at a later date as easy as possible,
it is still a non-trivial issue.
