[Bluej-discuss] The default skeleton for the class could not be generated

Seb,
". . .The default skeleton for the class could not be generated. This may be
because of configuration error in the setup of BlueJ or because of file
system access problems . . ."

This is because the standard class template file is missing or inaccessible from the location BlueJ looks.

You will find or rather Bluej should find this file [stdclass.tmpl] in tthe following Directory:

<BLUE J INSTALL DIR> \lib\english\templates\newclass

Possible causes:

1 The student deleted the file thinking it wasn't needed
2 The student, instead of creating a shortcut to bluej simply copied the app and now it 
runs from its new location without knowing where its config files are
3 The file has been corrupted for some unknown reason. e.g. a virus
4 The user installed BlueJ under another user account [admin account] whose files and folders
the user has no permission to access.  BlueJ is denied access to the file. - unlikely as the program shouldn't even start

Solutions:

1 Send him/her a copy of this file.
2 Instruct him/her to reinstall BlueJ - better solution as it will ensure that other files are 
restored that may have been deleted also.
