First of all I apologize to the list for making this public but I think it
might help sine other people (in seeing that the new semester is starting
(in the US at least)).

You should ignore what I wrote it has *NOTHING* to do with your question.
Normally bluej-discuss is used by instructors and/or other experienced users
to ask rather technical questions that are nornally well beyond what we
cover in class (or what the "Object's First" book covers). There is a
separate mailing list for student questions, Michael what is the right addr?
Since I am taking the time to answer this letter I will send you a private
reply on your orginial question.
