[Bluej-discuss] Exception in Thread 14

While testing the behavior of one of my extensions, I had an error pop up
entitled “Exception in Thread 14”, leaving BlueJ is a *somewhat* usable
state, the program would not close gracefully, and the GUI appeared to be in
an inconsistent state with menu items being permanently highlighted. I had
to manually close it from task manager. I was testing the behavior of what
would happen if you had a class that instantiated another class in its
constructor, with the instantiated class being part of the project. And in
the instantiated class’s constructor instantiate yet another class that was
in the same project. I had 4 classes total, with 3 classes instantiating a
different class. The 4th class did nothing other than the default code
provided for a new Class from BlueJ. And, while doing this have all involved
classes open in an editor with unsaved changes. I could not reproduce the
error, but wondered if anyone could shed some light on the error message. I
hope I described the scenario sufficiently. I could send the project if need
be.
Regards,
Josh
