[Bluej-discuss] excersies solutions?

Hi Stefan,

Like you I am self-taught, and have no tutor to assist with the
exercises. When I bought OFWJ, I was disappointed to have worked through
the first set of exercises only to find there was no way of telling
whether I was on the right track. I was also annoyed because, on Amazon
at least, it wasn't made clear that the book is really intended for use
by teachers, and had I known that, I wouldn't have bought it. On
reflection I'm glad I did. It is an excellent introduction to Java and I
would strongly recommend it, despite the lack of exercise solutions.

On that note, a plea to the authors (if they read this list). Please,
please could future editions take into account those who are self
teaching? How about two similar sets of exercises, one with and one
without solutions? We do after all pay the same price as the students,
but only receive part of the product. It's the only aspect that lets the
book down, otherwise it is really is excellent.

Regards,
Sara
