I don't think any of us where saying the current model is wrong just
looking at ways of improving it... since part of teaching programming
is to teach how do development "in the large" (on a shrink-wrapped
product) for educational only reasons a user modifiable source makes
sense... btw as to the person who suggested $10USD per copy this is by
far the wrong model if you ask me:

    1. It diminishes the value of the book which goes *WAY BEYOND*
bluej (I do have some small issues with it like Zuul is overly complex
but that is neither here or there)

    2. When I took Java and tutored it BJ was installed on every
public machine on campus which made life a lot easier (especially
since at the time there was a far greater demand for computer access
then there where machines)... $ per copy makes this impossible to do
(book sales should more then make up for the loss of revenue from
making the straight download free)... my suggestion for SIW'ing it was
to SIW the book and BJ by extension
