Hello BlueJ Users,

We have decided to move bluej-discuss to a new home, here:

	http://groups.google.com/group/bluej-discuss

In short, we are moving from a pure mailing list to Google groups, an
online forum with multiple interfaces.

Those of you who prefer to interact with the group via email can still
continue to do so: you can post to the group by email, and receive
posts by email. You need to use a new address to do so. Not much else
will change for you.

The new list email address for the list is bluej-discuss at googlegroups.com

The web interface for the group is http://groups.google.com/group/bluej-discuss

Unfortunately, action is required for you to move over to the new
address. (I could have just subscribed everyone from the old bluej-
discuss list, but I felt that it was not appropriate to do so without
your explicit consent.) So, you will need to have or create an account
on Google, and go to http://groups.google.com/group/bluej-discuss, and
join the group.

Once there, you can configure your preferences: whether you want to
receive posts by email or read on the web, or both...

The only drawback I can see is that a Google account is required. But
there are clear advantages: while the old-style email interaction is
still possible, you can now also read and post via a web interface,
browse the archives, get threaded views of ongoing and past
discussions, get an RSS feed, and more.

We believe that these advantages are worth the pain of switching.

The old list will remain functional for an interim period of a few
weeks, and then we will close that list and delete all subscriptions.

I hope to see you all over at the new bluej-discuss!

Regards,

Michael
